Personal Biography
Dr. Haeck has been practicing at the same location in Seattle since 1986. Prior to that, in 1980, he received his medical degree from Michigan State University, where he had also obtained his undergraduate degree. He then received his internship and surgery training at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. From there, he went on to train in Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he studied under Dr. Frank Gerow, the co-inventor of the breast implant.
Dr. Haeck has been active in many medical societies and civic organizations. He served as President of the Washington Society of Plastic Surgeons in 1997. Prior to that, he had been a member of the executive committee for that organization since 1990.
He has served on many committees for the Washington State Medical Society, King County Medical Society and both Swedish Hospital Medical Center and Providence Hospital in downtown Seattle.
The American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons is the largest professional organization in plastic surgery. Dr. Haeck has been active in this organization for over twelve years, and currently serves important roles on key committees that help promote the safety and efficacy of plastic surgery on a national basis.
